George Nelson “Loose Cushion” lounge chair for Herman Miller, 1960s

The part of the famous Loose Cushion Group,  lounge chair No. 5681,  was designed by George Nelson in 1955 and made by Herman Miller sometime in the 1960s. This armchair, with its shape and great comfort, brings a touch of mid-century aesthetic to modern interiors. The chair has been reupholstered in Kvadrat fabric. Overall dimensions are H: 77 / W: 82 / D: 86 cm. This lounge chair features clean lines, a minimalist silhouette, and tubular chromed legs with original patina. The cushions are filled with goose down, and the very special upholstery fabric -Kvadrat Remix 3 by Giulio Ridolfo—makes it a statement piece in any interior. Additional dimensions: Armrests height: 54 cm, Seat height: 42 cm, Height from the ground: 15 cm. This piece is in great condition after renovation, consistently capturing the spirit of the mid-century modern era. All the foams have been exchanged; the original manufacturer label has been preserved.
