Burnt wood tripod

Unique piece, 1950s. This tripod chair, dating from the 1950s, was salvaged and then entirely reworked by hand. Burned on the surface, sculpted in its volumes, it now wears a new skin—black, matte, and marked. The tool marks, hollows, and edges accentuate the tension between popular tradition and contemporary gesture. The silhouette remains faithful to the original object, but its presence has changed: rawer, denser, more mysterious. A charged piece, somewhere between homage and transformation.
