2 Form ceramic dishes • Design B. Devaux • Space Age • 1969

Set of two white and orange ceramic platters. Form, design B. Devaux, France, 1969. Very rare. In very good condition. Note a small chip on the orange platter (see the photos included in the description) and a firing defect on the white platter (this is not a crack; see the photos as well). The platters are not stamped but come from a person who worked at Form in 1969. Dimensions: White platter: diameter 28 cm • height 8 cm. Orange platter: diameter 16 cm • height 8 cm. *** About Form: There is very little information about Form. It appears that Form was a small ceramics workshop established in the famous town of Vallauris, in the south of France, and operated in the 1960s and early 1970s. The person from whom I acquired these platters worked there in the summer of 1969, when she was a student. The designer's name was Bernard Devaux, and very few objects from this workshop remain today. Some objects still bear the label and are designed by B. Devaux/Vence. Mr. Bernard Devaux must have resided in Vence, and the production was probably located in Vallauris. *** Careful shipping or hand delivery is available in the 20th arrondissement of Paris.
