One of the most iconic and elegant chaise longues in the history of design, conceived in the 1930s by the renowned architect and designer Marcel Breuer. The sinuous frame is made of curved laminated wood (birch or bent plywood) with a fluid, organic shape reminiscent of a sled. The seat and backrest are upholstered in soft, dark black fabric, which elegantly contrasts with the warm, natural tone of the wood. The ergonomic, continuous shape creates a single, welcoming surface, seamlessly connecting the backrest, seat, and footrest. The generous curves and cantilevered support convey a lightness and dynamism typical of Bauhaus and modernism. A timeless piece that combines bentwood craftsmanship with contemporary comfort. Items made of Rosewood may require a special export process, which could extend delivery time by an additional 2 to 4 weeks. Designed by Marcel Breuer and manufactured by Knoll in Germany during the 1970s, this piece is attributed to the designer/maker but has no attribution mark. It was reupholstered and refinished and is in very good condition, showing slight traces of use.
