This beautiful signed gilded bronze cup by ernest sanglan, a 19th/20th century sculptor in the art nouveau style, is in the shape of a flat oyster. It represents "the rabbit and the teal" based on a fable by jean pierre claris de florian (1755-1794). The stamp of the founder c&l (coutenot -leliévre) is numbered 016 8757 and is indicated under the cup. Dimensions 23x21 cm weight; 1046 g.
