Superb and rare Renaissance period bargueno in walnut and fruitwood marquetry from the late 16th century - Spain. The bargueno, an emblematic piece of furniture from 16th and 17th century Spain, embodies the refinement and craftsmanship of that era. This sumptuous walnut cabinet opens with a drop front, revealing a richly decorated interior, consisting of 10 drawers. This very beautiful bargueno stands out for its exquisite marquetry work on the drop front, two sides, and its interior. A Moorish influence indicates that it is still from the late Renaissance period of the late 16th century. More classical barguenos are from a later date. Original lock and key that works. It rests on a very beautiful table with a superb Renaissance period walnut top made from a single piece and a later base (19th century). In superb condition with a magnificent patina. A rare piece.
