Elegant pair of French salon chairs from the 19th century, saved and restored at the La Hêtraie workshop. The painted wooden structure, weakened by a previous woodworm attack, has been fully treated and reinforced with epoxy gel injections at critical points, re-glued and waxed. The original paint, slightly faded, has been intentionally preserved: it bears witness to the age and authentic character of the piece. The seat has been redone in high resilience foam (HR 30 kg/m³) and covered with Galloway fabric by Güell Lamadrid — a 100% cotton forest print, in a colour version from the former collection of the Spanish publisher, which is now different in the catalogue. Dark bronze head tacks along the edge of the seat. Sold as a pair only. Chairs that are not meant to be perfect — they are meant to last even longer... Some staged photos are generated by AI and illustrate the general atmosphere — the reference photos are those taken in the workshop.
