Pair of flying chairs with upholstered seats

Pair of antique turned wood chairs, with a sculpted backrest and upholstered seat. French work in the Louis-Philippe style, circa 1880–1900. The backrest features a double moulded crossbar adorned in the centre with a floral motif, resting on turned uprights. The legs, also turned and connected by stretchers, provide excellent stability. The seat is covered with a light fabric decorated in the centre with period floral embroidery, showing some signs of use. The whole piece exudes authentic charm and rustic elegance. Total height: 90 cm. Seat height: 48 cm. Seat dimensions: 42 × 38 cm. Overall good condition and solid structure, with minor visible restorations on one of the backrests and the fabric (later than the structure) slightly patinated, not worn.
