The top, with a notable thickness, imposes a mass and solidity that distinguishes this piece from common productions. 246 cm long, approximately 80 to 100 kg: a refectory format, designed to last. The top is assembled with visible wooden dowels on the edge, a traditional carpentry method that demonstrates real craftsmanship. The base, with four straight square-section legs connected by a low stretcher, adopts a resolutely modernist vocabulary: no curves, no ornamentation, sharp angles. A sober geometry that brings this farm table closer to the brutalist communal furniture of the 50s and 60s. The honey hue of the beech, enhanced by a satin finish, retains the clarity of the wood grain. The piece is in good overall condition, with a patina of use consistent with its age.
