Vintage Salt and Pepper Shaker Set on Tray

Magnificent table set comprising a salt shaker, a pepper shaker, and their lobed presentation tray. This service is presented in its period velvet box. Each piece rests on three feet adorned with masks (lion heads), a typical work from the late 19th century. The two containers are complete with their protective plastic interiors. The design is very refined with chiselled edges and elegant baluster shapes. The set is in its original condition and shows its great age. Note the wear on the silver plating in several places (notably on the lids and the tray), revealing the base metal through transparency. This wear gives an authentic charm to the objects.
