Large fish dish Gien green chartreuse relief vintage

Large oval dish in earthenware from the Gien factory, adorned with a stylised fish in relief covering the entire surface. A zoomorphic decoration of stylised fish enlivens the whole surface of the dish; a naive and graphic design, featuring a fish with finely drawn scales, outstretched fins, and a spiral eye. The background is worked with a textured pattern reminiscent of a fishing net, creating a subtle interplay of reliefs that captures the light and enhances the depth of the decoration. The whole is enhanced by an intense and luminous chartreuse green glaze, a vibrant, almost pop shade. Stamped Gien France: the stamp allows it to be dated to the 1970s-1980s. In excellent vintage condition, with a small chip on the reverse edge that is not easily visible when the dish is placed (see photos). Length 49.5 cm, width 25.5 cm, and height 3 cm.
