Large and imposing table lamp model “Hermes, ” designed on commission for a renowned fashion house and originally conceived for its boutiques — a piece created for a refined retail environment where architecture, brand identity and light were conceived as one. The composition is structured around a sculptural S-shaped wooden block (15 × 8 × 39.5 h cm) resting on a compact base (15 × 8 cm). With overall dimensions of 25 × 20 cm depth × 85.5 cm height, the lamp has a commanding yet balanced presence. Warm dark wood alternates with polished brass elements, executed with architectural precision. At the centre of the S-shaped negative space sits a hand-worked brass sphere, entirely sculpted and pierced by hand. Its irregular, almost molten surface allows light to pass through small openings. A circular aperture in the top brass plate directs illumination onto the sphere, enhancing its texture and creating a controlled interplay of shadow and reflection. Brass details include a polished top plate with circular opening, a lower brass shelf integrated into the wooden cut-out, four solid brass feet (1 cm high) subtly lifting the structure, and a vertical brass stem finished with cylindrical fittings. The lamp is completed by a large rectangular shade (25 × 20 × 40 h cm), whose clean geometry balances the sculptural base. The overall composition is a study in mass and void, solidity and light. The original Esperia adhesive label remains attached, confirming its provenance. This example comes directly from Esperia’s warehouse holdings and is preserved as new old stock, in mint condition, never used — an increasingly rare state of preservation. The lamp features four light points: two E27 sockets within the shade for ambient light and two E14 sockets integrated into the lower brass structure, enhancing the sculptural presence of the sphere and creating layered illumination. Wired for 220–240V European standard. Fully functional in the United States (110–120V), with slight modifications.
