Bamboo barber mirror 42 cm, circa 1940. Small mirror bamboo wooden frame, original ice slightly stitched, period hanging chain. Bamboo mirrors only imitate natural bamboo, they were inspired by the taste for chinese art in the late nineteenth century. It was in victorian england that they took their first steps, finding themselves in all western bourgeois interiors. They are also called "barber", for those of small sizes, which cling to the top of the sink of the bathroom, allowing to restyle or shave closely with style. In excellent condition. 42 X 38 X 2.5 cm.
