Botanical composition with blue thistles – framed old gouache

Elegant antique botanical composition depicting thistles in shades of blue, green-gray, and ochre. The work is done on paper, probably in gouache and watercolor, with beautiful texture and transparency. A few small insects punctuate the composition. Presented under glass in its original molded wooden frame, with an original blue mat that nicely highlights the nuances of the artwork. In good vintage condition, with traces and slight marks of time visible in the photographs.
