Marquetry tiered table Napoleon III — rosewood, brass gallery,
Elegant three-tiered step table in rosewood and ebonized wood, characteristic of bourgeois furniture from the French Second Empire. The top surface is adorned with finely crafted floral marquetry — a bouquet of roses on an ebonized background, framed by scrolls and geometric patterns. The two lower shelves feature geometric decorations and arabesques in two-tone marquetry. The openwork gallery in gilded brass that surrounds the top, the gilded bronze fillets separating the levels, and the black lacquered curved legs complete the ensemble with refinement. Wear consistent with the age of the piece (slight chipping on the legs, natural patina on the surfaces). The brass gallery is in good condition. A beautiful character piece for a living room or office.
