Painted Folk Art Bridal Chest

This beautiful antique bridal chest dates from the 19th century and has a highly decorative painting. This example comes from germany or austria and is a beautiful example of folk art from that time. In the past, it was customary to give bridal furniture like this as a gift to the couple at a wedding. This furniture was subsequently placed on the farm in a stately room that was only rarely used for high-ranking visitors or special occasions. All our bridal chests have been checked and, if necessary, restored, although the characteristic appearance of these cases has been retained. This copy is very large in size and decorated with panels and floral paintings. 45cm high, 130cm wide, 67cm deep.
