This beautiful floor lamp by Maison Jansen, created in the early 1950s, features a gilt bronze structure with foliage decorations. It is composed of three legs that extend to the top of the lamp. The bronze chiseling work on the legs and structure is simply superb, and typical of the French neoclassical style of the 1950s and 1960s of Maison Jansen. The lampshade has been restored to its original state, with a thick ivory-colored cotton fabric, and a specific structure matching the nickel-plated steel torchiere. This floor lamp has two side sockets and one upper socket, for direct and indirect lighting, and has been fully re-wired. The gilt bronze structure has been cleaned and has a beautiful patina. This floor lamp has a beautiful provenance, and was part of the Nilufer Hanımsultan collection, Princess of Hyderabad and Princess of the Ottoman Empire.
