Very beautiful glazed stoneware pitcher with lovely lines: an elegant, slender shape and a slightly raised ribbed effect. And of course, this wonderful gray glaze speckled with black and a bit of brown, characteristic of the workshop of the ceramicist couple Chantal and Thierry Robert, named Atch "the stoneware of Loir." It is a very beautiful artisanal work both in turning and glazing. A bit forgotten in the history of ceramics, they were very active and innovative since the 60s and in Poncé-sur-Loir from 1973 until the 90s. This pitcher bears the signature "TCH" hand-engraved underneath, T for Thierry, C for Chantal, and the h common to both names; it does not yet include the A for Atelier. It probably dates from the late 60s or early 70s. It is in perfect condition, neither cracked nor chipped, not even a nick. It measures 19.5 cm in height, about 16 cm in width from the spout to the handle, and a maximum diameter of about 10 cm. Its opening allows for easy cleaning inside.
