A superb pair of blue and green glazed stoneware tumblers, reminiscent of studio pottery, with a sculptural presence and a profoundly organic charm. Presented together, they naturally converse through their mineral nuances: a deep, textured blue with almost nocturnal vibrations, and a patinated green with hazy reflections, as if aged by time. Each piece reveals a vibrant, speckled, nuanced glaze, with subtle plays of texture and light. Their soft, enveloping form, resting on a small, delicately turned foot, gives them a true workshop feel, blurring the lines between utilitarian and decorative object. Period: circa 1970–1980 (studio pottery style) No indication of maker or provenance other than an "A" under the tumbler, the workshop mark. Both are 8.5 cm high and 8.5 cm in diameter. Beautiful vintage condition; one of the cups, the blue one, has a small chip on the inside rim. A pair of small stoneware containers, perfect for a wabi-chic, minimalist, and ultra-contemporary table setting.
