Superb set of six fine earthenware plates from the workshops of Jules Vieillard & Cie in Bordeaux, dating from the second half of the 19th century, circa 1890. "Louis XV" pattern, with a refined decoration of garlands, scrolls, and cobalt blue foliage on a white ground, adorned with an elegant central medallion. Mark: On the reverse, a blue stamp "J.V.B." framed by garlands and the inscription "Sce. LOUIS XV". Dimensions: Diameter: approximately 22.5 cm (8.8 in). Condition: Very good overall condition, no signs of wear, beautiful glaze.
