Monastery table - farmhouse table

Large solid oak monastery table in Louis XIII style, made in the second half of the 20th century (around 1950-1970). It follows the design codes of refectory furniture from the 17th and 18th centuries, which inspired French cabinetmakers for decades. It rests on two turned and moulded baluster legs, set on curved scroll feet. A central crossbar connects them and ensures the stability of the whole. The thick tabletop is bordered with mouldings, with end crossbars joined at the ends. The oak, varnished in a beautiful deep honey tone, showcases the richness of its grain and flame patterns. A beautifully crafted table, like those no longer made, designed for large family gatherings. Delivery available throughout France and Europe, please contact me.
