French Art Deco refectory table in oak, France, circa 1930.

Impressive French Art Deco refectory table dating from around 1930, made of solid oak and characterised by its generous proportions and powerful architectural presence. The substantial rectangular top features richly figured oak grain and gently rounded edges. It rests on two monumental cylindrical pedestal supports, detailed with fine turned horizontal rings and set on wide cross feet. A long central stretcher connects the two bases, providing excellent stability while reinforcing the table's bold geometric silhouette. The warm oak surface has developed an authentic patina, with signs of age and use clearly visible across the entire top. The surface shows stains, surface marks, and colour variations, as well as a small localized loss along the edge, as shown in the photographs. Due to its exceptional length, the table is perfectly suited as a large dining table, conference table, or presentation table, and serves as a strong piece in both residential and commercial interiors. Professional restoration of the top can be arranged upon request for an additional cost.
