Pair of Gilt Bronze Candlesticks, Louis XVI Style – Mid 19th Century

Charming pair of Louis XVI style gilt bronze end tables, depicting cherubs in the antique style. A little boy and a little girl each carry a leafy vase with a removable bobèche surrounded by a pearl garland. The cherubs are draped and seated on a fluted column trunk, highlighted with a pearl necklace. The whole rests on a circular base with an ogee decorated with acanthus leaves.
