Elegant French decorative trinket tray from the late 19th century. The tray is made of Algerian onyx, a fine and translucent stone highly prized at the time. It rests on a finely chiselled gilded bronze cherub (putti), mounted on a matching onyx base. 💡 Interesting workshop detail: each foot of the base bears a hand-engraved X, used by the workshop to align and assemble the piece correctly. A small sign of artisanal craftsmanship that confirms the authenticity and quality of the production. A heavy and stable piece (3.416 kg), ideal as a centrepiece, fruit bowl, or decorative art object. Work in the style of the Napoléon III period. Dimensions: Height: 28 cm. Diameter of the bowl: 24 cm. Base: 14 X 14 cm. Weight: 3.416 kg. In overall good condition with slight signs of age consistent with its antiquity (see photos). An elegant and decorative piece, perfect for a classic interior or character home.
