Art Deco biscuit jar in tango orange glass - Egypt Desert decor

For sale, a magnificent and authentic vintage biscuit bucket from the Art Deco period (1920s-1930s). The body is made of bright orange Tango blown glass with very luminous gradient shades. It is entirely adorned with a hand-painted enamel decoration depicting a silhouette of an Egyptian desert scene: a traveller on a camel, palm trees, and pyramids on the horizon. The mount, movable handle, and removable lid are made of chased metal with leaf frieze patterns. Glass: Excellent condition, no cracks, chips, or nicks. The interior is clean. Metal mount: Very good used condition, beautiful old patina, the handle works perfectly. Ideal for retro decoration, a vintage/Mid-Century interior, or for collectors of period glassware (Bohème/Loetz/Legras style). It can also serve as a candy jar or decorative box.
