Hans Luiken — Abstract Composition

Acrylic on canvas This expressive abstract painting by Hans Luiken is a richly layered work that balances raw gesture with earthy sophistication. Executed in acrylic on canvas, the composition features a dense interplay of ochre, mustard yellow, muted greens and warm neutrals, built up through textured brushwork and visible scraping marks. The surface carries a strong sense of movement and materiality, giving the work depth and presence. Its tonal palette makes it highly versatile: striking in a minimalist interior, yet equally at home in a more eclectic or vintage-driven space. Presented in its original frame, this piece works beautifully as a statement artwork above a sofa, sideboard or in a gallery-style wall setting.
