A beautiful and refined set of six dining chairs designed by Danish designer Erling Torvits and manufactured by Sørø Stolefabrik in Denmark during the 1960s. The chairs are executed in richly figured rosewood and feature an elegant, lightweight construction with slender tapered legs. Particularly beautiful are the sculpted backrests, composed of three gently curved horizontal bars and a distinctive shaped top rail. The subtle curves and refined joinery demonstrate the high level of Danish craftsmanship throughout. The seats have been newly upholstered in a soft beige wool fabric, creating a warm and understated contrast with the deep tones of the rosewood. A very elegant set with excellent proportions and beautiful detailing, characteristic of high-quality Danish modern design. In very good condition, fully restored and structurally checked. Newly upholstered and ready to use.
