Fireplace front in gilded bronze – Decor of scrolls and acanthus leaves
Important and elegant antique fireplace front in gilded bronze, featuring a rich decor of scrolls, volutes, and large acanthus leaves. The composition is perfectly symmetrical, with two high, openwork side uprights adorned with abundant vegetal decoration in the rocaille style. They are joined by a long bronze crossbar, highlighted in the center by a significant relief leaf motif. The base is accented with a decorative frieze alternating oval motifs and stylized elements. The bronze retains a beautiful old gilded patina, with some visible signs of oxidation and use, particularly on the reverse, consistent with its age. The reverse shows its original metal fixing feet. A very beautiful decorative element, particularly elegant in front of an old stone or marble fireplace. Style: Louis XV / Rocaille Material: gilded bronze Height: 52 cm Length: 115 cm Beautiful quality of chiseling and very impressive decorative presence.
