Pair of finely carved Victorian Thomas Chippendale accent chairs.

We offer this superb pair of Victorian hand-carved accent chairs in the Thomas Chippendale style, made of solid mahogany around 1880. These rare and highly collectible library chairs have been crafted in the Chippendale manner, true to his designs, featuring fretwork carvings and ornate legs, all finely executed by a master craftsman. The upholstery is in vintage velvet, pleasant to the touch, but could be restored. The chairs have been lightly restored, including a deep clean, waxing, and hand polishing of the wood. The velvet shows some marks and slight discolouration due to age. Dimensions: Height 96 cm, Width 55.5 cm, Depth 63 cm, Seat Height 46 cm. Please note that all measurements are taken at the widest point. These pieces are in good condition with wear consistent with their age and slight fading.
