Superb square table ashtray (which can also serve as a catchall or decorative dish) made of Italian glazed ceramic, dating from the 1960s. This piece is fully in line with the aesthetic of Mid-Century Modern Italian design. It features a textured off-white glaze combined with an incised geometric decoration, enhanced by a deep cobalt blue. The whole immediately evokes the iconic creations of Aldo Londi for the Bitossi factory (notably the famous Rimini Blu series), as well as certain productions by Fratelli Fanciullacci from Montelupo Fiorentino. The piece is marked "ITALY" in relief under the base, confirming its origin and manufacturing period. The central decoration in the form of a stylised cross, combined with the blue oval motifs arranged around the edge, reflects careful artisanal work typical of Italian workshops of the time. Length: 19 cm Width: 19 cm Height: 6 cm Square shape with four notches. In good overall condition. The glaze retains a beautiful shine. Interior and underside are clean. No major cracks or significant chips.
