Vintage Hubert Bequet porcelain candy box - Louis XV series - 1950

Hubert Bequet, whose studio was located in Quaregnon, Belgium, was active during the post-war period and is particularly known for his richly colored and gilded, hand-painted decorative ceramics. The pieces in the Louis XV series are characterized by their Rococo style, inspired by the 18th century, but with modern touches typical of the 1950s.
