"Lalanda" armchairs by Gianfranco Frattini, Spain, 1980s

The Lalanda dining chair features a lacquered metal frame paired with rich cognac-whiskey patinated leather. Its minimal, architectural lines are complemented by the warm character of beautifully aged leather. Each chair carries an original fabric label for the Spanish company Kron, adding historical authenticity to the piece. Gianfranco Frattini (1926–2004) was an influential Italian architect and designer known for merging craftsmanship with refined modernism. A student of Gio Ponti, he developed a design language rooted in structural clarity and elegant restraint.
