Rocking chair 'Relaxer' - Verner Panton for Rosenthal Studio-Lin

Designed by Verner Panton for Rosenthal Studio-Line in the 1970s, this 'Relaxer' rocking chair features a black-lacquered slatted wooden frame with a distinctive curved silhouette. A tan canvas sling supports the removable, channel-tufted cushion, upholstered in original Verner Panton fabric with a multi-coloured geometric pattern. The lacquer shows minor surface scratches and wear consistent with use, particularly along the bottom edges of the rockers. The original fabric displays some localised wear and tearing on the seat cushion.
