Arco de Flos floor lamp by Achille Castiglioni. One year after the creation of the first prototype, we are pleased to announce the release of the Arco LED on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of its design (1962-2012) which also coincides with the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Flos. The famous luminaire from the Castiglioni brothers has become over the years a true design icon and the emblematic symbol of Flos throughout the world. A combination of designer materials: marble, a traditional material, combines with the modernity of steel. It can replace a suspension for example by positioning it above the table. The telescopic rod allows you to adjust the height of the diffuser. “We were thinking about a lamp that would light the table. There were already some but they had to be worked around. To allow enough space around the table, the base had to be at least two meters apart. That’s how the idea of Arco was born.” A.
