Formica step stool

This stool, very practical because it also serves as a stepladder by unfolding the two small integrated steps, is a perfect example of furniture from the 60s and 70s, with its structure in chromed tubular metal, its seat in light formica (imitation veining of the white, gray, slightly pinkish or bluish wood). The steps are made of grooved solid wood to prevent slipping. It is in good structural condition, solid and stable but does not hide its age: the chrome is a little pitted or clouded in places but it is not excessively visible, various stains and marks on the steps (notably remains of paint in the grooves which I did not manage to remove despite careful cleaning, they testify to its use for painting work), small gaps around the edge of the formica seat, I masked the most important one with a touch of white paint. And finally, the covering on the underside of the seat has stains and small gaps and slight detachments around the edge. This stool measures 62 cm in height, the seat is a square with a side of 27 cm, the base measures 35 cm in width by 40 cm in depth. It weighs around 3 or 4 kg.
