Old travel box solid mahogany writing board and nineteenth century brass

An old necessary travel box or naval officer's writing cabinet, empire period. Rosewood veneer on solid mahogany, and brass reinforcements. In the center a brass socket on top. Missing interior compartments, transformed into a simple box. Interior upholstered in green felt (new condition) Some accidents, restorations; misses the key. Period: xixth.
