Vintage ceramic amphora vase

A vintage ceramic vase in the shape of an amphora, covered in a spectacular flambe glaze that flows from a deep crimson red to a matte black, with a metallic tin grey interior. Two volute handles extend from the shoulders, and the wide flared opening gives the piece a sculptural presence. Material: glazed ceramic. Glaze: flambe red and black with a metallic grey interior. Dimensions: approx. 29 cm high × 20 cm wide (including handles). Era: vintage, probably 1950s–1970s, European studio pottery. Condition: good vintage condition. No chips or cracks. The texture of the glaze is intentional — related to the flambe firing process — and does not constitute damage.
