Large white ceramic vase signed on the reverse Cérart Monaco. Hand-painted decoration in a resolutely modernist and Mediterranean spirit, close to the language of Matisse, who was active in this period in the south of France. Graphic motifs of stylised women punctuated with small green solar patterns. The decoration, free and spontaneous, directly evokes the graphic vocabulary of Henri Matisse, particularly through its sinuous lines, stylised forms, and very refined treatment. Baluster shape.
