Hello. I am offering an old oil on canvas from the 19th century depicting a Mediterranean summer landscape at dawn. This seascape features three boats of different sizes against a beautiful distant horizon, providing remarkable visual depth. One can also observe a lovely gradient in the sky from left to right with clouds being pushed by the wind. Frame dimensions: 40 cm x 29 cm. Artwork dimensions: 35 cm x 24 cm. This oil on canvas adheres to the rule of thirds both horizontally and vertically. The artwork is in perfect condition; it has been fully stripped of varnish, restored, cleaned, and then mounted onto another canvas. Finally, a satin anti-UV varnish has been applied to the canvas by a professional (Winsor & Newton). An elegant patterned antique frame has been added.
