English captain's armchair Ralph Johnson in oak and leather.

We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely original Edwardian captain's chair in English oak, stamped Ralph Johnson. A very aesthetically pleasing and well-made piece, there are two identical chairs except for the colour of the leather seats; this one is brown while the other is more of a reddish-brown. The other chair is listed among my other items. The chair bears the manufacturer's plate of Ralph Johnson from Warrington, Cheshire. The frame has been checked and secured, and the wood has been cleaned, waxed, and polished. Dimensions: Height 84.5 cm, Width 57.5 cm, Depth 58 cm, Seat Height 46 cm. All measurements are taken at the widest point. Please refer to the detailed photos which are an integral part of the description regarding the condition. Please note that vintage and period items such as leather seats always exhibit a natural patina in the form of cracks, creases, and wear. We recommend regular waxing to prevent moisture loss. Additionally, hand-dyed leather should not be exposed to direct sunlight for long periods as it may dry out and discolour.
