Antique English Edwardian captain's chair in oak by Ralph Johnson.

We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely original Edwardian captain's chair in English oak, stamped Ralph Johnson. A very elegant and well-crafted piece, I have two of these chairs, identical except for the colour of the leather seat bases; this one is reddish-brown, while the other is more chestnut brown. The other chair is listed in my other items. The chair bears the manufacturer's plate of Ralph Johnson from Warrington, Cheshire. The frame has been checked and secured, and the wood has been cleaned, waxed, and polished. Dimensions: Height 85 cm, Width 60 cm, Depth 56 cm, Seat Height 47 cm. These products are available in different sizes with varying widths, heights, and depths. Please note that vintage and original period items such as leather seats will always have a natural patina in the form of cracks, creases, and wear. We recommend regular waxing to prevent any loss of moisture. Additionally, hand-dyed leather is not recommended for prolonged exposure to direct sunlight as it may dry out and discolour.
