Handwoven blue kilim rug in natural wool

The Tunisian kilim is made up of parallel bands of solid colours. Traditionally made by the nomads of the south, it was once used to cover camel litters or serve as a partition in tents. Today, it is used as well as for floor decoration. Traditional kilims use patterns based on two simple geometric shapes: triangle and diamond in various colours.
