### **Title Selency** Art Deco vase signed Léon Elchinger, Soufflenheim, 1920s --- Art Deco ceramic vase signed with the monogram LE of Léon Elchinger, made in Soufflenheim, Alsace, around 1920–1934. This piece is part of the emblematic production of the artist, a major figure in Alsatian art ceramics of the early 20th century. The vertical geometric decoration, rhythmically enhanced by stylised patterns in petrol blue, ivory, and touches of orange, is characteristic of the Art Deco vocabulary developed by Léon Elchinger in the 1920s. The elongated silhouette reinforces the graphic and architectural reading of the whole. The glaze shows a slight ancient crackle, consistent with the period and original firing. Monogram LE under the base. A strong decorative object, ideal for an Art Deco interior, contemporary space, or in a collection of 20th-century French ceramics. **Dimensions** Height: 25 cm Width: 12 cm **Condition** Very good vintage condition. No chips, no cracks, no restoration.
