◼ THE STORY & DESIGN The S32 is the three-seater sofa from the seating family designed by Pierre Chapo around the S15 armchair. The pleasure of the piece lies in its construction: solid elm uprights that rise in one piece from the floor to the armrests, crossbars secured with visible through-tenons, and leather cushions placed within the frame rather than draped over it. The elm has taken on a warm honey hue and a pronounced grain that gives these pieces their presence. In contrast, the brown leather adds depth and suppleness that only decades can provide. In a living room, it immediately sets the tone: 212 cm long, wide enough for three, enveloping backrest, firm seat. It pairs well with elm or oak tables, raw wool rugs, ceramics, and stone or polished concrete floors.
