Fisherman's stool storage chest

This charming fishing chest, which also serves as a stool, will find multiple uses in your home while being very decorative: storage and extra seating in a bedroom, a sewing box (I use such a chest for this purpose and it’s very practical), or for small DIY or craft materials, storage for shoe polish and brushes in an entrance hall… It is very original with its orange and black faux leather seat (Soudexvinyl brand, never seen in this colour). It has 3 compartments, the two at the top are divided into 6 spaces thanks to removable wooden slats. The chest at the bottom offers a substantial space. It also has a shoulder strap, which will allow it to be transported for outdoor painting if you use it as a paint supply chest. I have cleaned it carefully, dusting and then cleaning with a brush and soapy water. It had a bit of a musty smell, so I sprayed it several times with vodka (it removes odours), then added a few drops of lavender essential oil; it’s not perfect but much better. This chest is likely from the 1970s. It is in good overall condition, clean, sturdy, the faux leather is intact, with no perforations or tears, but it does show some signs of use and the patina of time: some metal parts show superficial corrosion, and there are a few small marks on the wood, including a lighter square on the front (there was a sticker that I had to remove). It measures 38 cm by 26 cm with a height of 39 cm.
