The elegant Danish mid-century extra large teak table manufactured by Sorø in the 1960s was most likely designed by Henning Kjaernulf. This piece exemplifies the craftsmanship and functional characteristics of Scandinavian modern design. The table's diameter is 120 cm, and with the use of 4 additional leaves, its width can be 170, 230, 280, or even 330 cm! The table features a beautifully grained teak top with a warm tone and smooth finish, resting on solid teak legs with refined, minimalist proportions. It includes four additional leaves (each 50 cm wide), allowing the table to extend to the impressive 330 cm! Where one can comfortably sit 10 people. One of them has an apron, and the other does not. The extension mechanism operates smoothly, and there is a support leg that automatically unfolds when multiple extension leaves are in use. Additional dimensions: Total height 72 cm, Height to apron: 63 cm. The table has been renovated. The surface has been carefully refinished with new layers of satin lacquer, revealing the depth of the teak grain. The extension mechanism has been checked and works properly. This piece remains in excellent vintage condition with minor signs of use. An original manufacturer's label has been preserved.
