Small antique carved stone bowl, holy water font or soapstone. Oriental craftsmanship, probably from the Maghreb or Asia Minor, late 19th - early 20th century. Signature to be deciphered on the back. Finely handcrafted marble or limestone, with symmetrical and delicate contours. This piece could have served as a holy water font, soapstone or even a votive cup. Beautiful patina, slight traces of use, a small chip on one edge on the back, compatible with its age. A beautiful decorative object or curiosity.
