"accolay" refers to a community of potters based in the village of accolay (yonne) in burgundy, active from 1945 and 1983 and trained by four former students of the polish ceramicist alexandre kostanda. Accolay's production is characterized by a great inventiveness with various shapes and bright colors and the exploitation of many ceramic techniques such as enamels with brush and glossy icing, enamel with gold, scarified engobe etc. The production has always been signed with a unique signature for the community, "accolay".
