Tapio Wirkkala. For Littala, Finnish bowl, empty pocket, design designed by Tapio Wirkkala for Iittala Glassworks in 1972. Marked with the engraved signature. Tapio Wirkkala, on the rim. Weight 2.7 kg Dimensions: Height: 8 cm (3.15") Diameter: 28 cm (11.02") Tapio Wirkkala (1915 - 1985) was a Finnish designer and sculptor. He is one of the most famous designers of the post-war period. Wirkkala's work ranges from product packaging and metalware design, to glass, advertising graphics, ceramics, jewelry, and plywood furniture. Bowl in good condition, see photos: no chips or breakage. Only flaws, rubbing in the center of the bowl. Rare in this large format, we see more of a small 12cm cut on the same model.
