Art Deco vase signed ELGE. The vase is from the former ELGE factory in Vierzon. It is made of crackled ivory-coloured ceramic. In excellent condition. Dimensions: height 23 cm, width 15 cm, and thickness 9.5 cm. Art Deco, in the wake of European reflections on ornamentation, draws from the explorations of Art Nouveau. It fully developed in the 1920s and is characterised by a structured, geometric, elegant aesthetic that combines modernity and preciousness, along with the three iconic elements of the Roaring Twenties: geometry, symmetry, and noble materials.
